UET Alumni Association of North America's Spring Dinner & Mehfil-e-Mosiqi held on April 5th, 2008

Objectives

The Association's main objective is to bring together Alumni and faculty of the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore (UET), in order to provide financial and technical assistance to deserving students, and to provide educational and material help to UET.

 
Status

Elections were held in June 2007, and the following officers were elected for 2007-08:

  • President: Engr. Saeed A. Rana
  • Vice President Eastern Region: Engr. Irfan Malik
  • Vice President Western Region: Engr. Moazzam Chaudhry
  • Vice President Northern Region: Engr. David Khan
  • Secretary: Engr. Abdul Hai Sheikh
  • Treasurer: Dr. Sajjad Durrani

The Officers met on July 22, 2007 at the home of Mr. Saeed Rana to develop plans for the year; Mr. David Khan participated in it by teleconference. Dr. Noor Sheikh (Dean of EE at UET) was visiting California and also joined the teleconference.

Some local AA members also met on August 19, 2007 at the home of Mr. Abdul Hai Sheikh to discuss various ongoing projects at UET, the University's needs, and how the AA can help the UET. Dr. Noor Sheikh was in Washington and joined the meeting.
