UET-Lahore
Alumni Association was established in 1995/96,
but has remained inactive since then. However, several
UET Alumni living in the Metropolitan Washington
had been discussing the possibility of reviving
the UET Alumni Association for some time and in
a meeting held on Sunday, February 18, 2007 in the
Potomac Community Center, Falls Road, Potomac, MD
decided to do it under the banner of UET-AA. To
start with, it will comprise three regions:
1. All States in the Eastern and Central Time Zones
of the Continental US (CONUS);
2. All States in the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones
of CONUS; and
3. Canada and Alaska.
The UET-AA's main objective is to provide a forum
to bring together Alumni and faculty of the University
of Engineering and Technology, Lahore (UET) aimed
at providing financial and technical assistance
to deserving candidates to pursue studies in Engineering
Sciences and develop their careers; and provide
educational and material help to UET academics. |
